Page 1 of 1 The Department of Veteran Affairs, Iowa City, IA, intends to negotiate a sole source procurement under the authority FAR 6.302-3 with the University of Iowa for the period of 4/1/2018 to 3/31/2019 for Expertise in mobile health applications and physical activity is required to support the Iowa City VA Health Care System, Rural Health Resource Center - Iowa City for the project, "An M-health Intervention to Increase the Activity Levels of Rural Veterans (MapTrek)" led by Philip Polgreen, MD. The expert is required to provide content expertise, labor, and materials to perform the specialized services needed to for this project, including the following: Provide expertise in the mobile health applications. Provide project direction, training, and evaluation per project objectives. Updating functions and creating mobile health application routes on a weekly basis. Identifying and enrolling participants and training them to utilze a mobile health application. Analyzing study
data and evaluating results. Maintaining project software, website, and database. Interacting with participants regarding their experiences. Acquire equipment, materials and resources to ensure conduct of the project per approved protocol. Communicate with ORH officials and project leaders regarding study methods and outcomes. Assist in the development reports to VA Office of Rural Health and the Rural Health Resource Center - Iowa City; the preparation of papers and manuscripts for publication and presentation at conferences; and the writing of project reports, scientific manuscripts and other internal and external documents.
