In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement, if any, that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made.Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Pacific, Special Projects Division, is seeking information on establishing a new contract for Base Operations Support (BOS) services for Navy Support Facility (NSF), Diego Garcia. Located in the north central Indian Ocean, Diego Garcia is an atoll in the
Chagos Archipelago and is a part of the British Indian Ocean Territory owned and controlled by the British Government. NSF Diego Garcia’s primary mission is to provide logistic support to the operating forces for all U.S. military forces deployed in the Indian Ocean and Persian Gulf areas. Base Operations Support (BOS) Services are essential to the maintenance and operation of Diego Garcia. The BOS contractor work force serves a total on-island population of approximately 2,000 people.When solicited, the proposed contract shall be awarded to joint ventures exclusively between U.S. and U.K. firms unless no qualified joint venture firm submits a reasonable offer. In that event, the competition shall be opened to United States firms. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 561210. The applicable size standard is $47 million. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement and any follow-up information requests. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. However, NAVFAC Pacific will utilize the information for acquisition planning purposes. All data received in response to this Source Sought Notice marked or designated, as corporate or proprietary information will be fully protected from release outside the Government.
