Medium Mobile Air Traffic Control Tower (MMATCT)

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement is for Medium Mobile Air Traffic Control Towers (MMATCTs) with the ability to rapidly deploy, and quickly restore, augment, or replace air traffic control functions when a fixed air traffic control tower (ATCT) is either out of service, does not exist, or is going to be taken out of service.  This acquisition will solely consist of the MMATCT structure and the integrated systems that are required for any mobile trailer which would be inhabited when parked. The integrated systems include the electrical, lighting, fire detection/alarm, brakes, suspension, towing, etc. THERE WILL NOT BE A REQUIREMENT TO PROCURE, DESIGN, SUPPLY OR INSTALL ANY AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL RELATED ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT WITH THIS ANTICIPATED PROCUREMENT.The SIR/RFP is being posted in accordance with FAA Acquisition Management Policy, Section 3.2.1.3.11 Public Announcements. Review all attachments pertaining to this solicitation prior to submitting a proposal.

This announcement is not intended to guarantee procurement of the services, and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to enter into a contract.  The Government is not liable for costs associated with the preparation, submittal of inquiries or responses for this announcement and will not reimburse any firm for costs incurred in responding to this public announcement.All questions regarding the SIR must be submitted in writing to Ms. Thuylinh TranNguyen at thuylinh.t.trannguyen@faa.gov. All questions must be received no later than April 17, 2020 by 1500 EST. Questions received after 1500 EST on April 17, 2020 will not be considered.Proposals are due no later than August 18, 2020 by 1500 EST. Any proposal received after 1500 EST on August 18, 2020 will be considered non-responsive and will not be eligible for award.To be considered for award of this requirement, the offeror must have a current/valid registration in the Systems for Award Management (SAM) database website: www.sam.gov. To be eligible for award, the offeror must submit a proposal in accordance with Section L and Section M of this SIR.
