The project shall be consistent with the institution’s strategic plan and vision, this project will construct a new Science and Technology Building on the UNT main campus. The selected firm will be required to be able to provide a complete program and should the contract be extended full design services for a new Science & Technology Building of approximately 105,000 GSF. This building will feature flexible wet and dry open research laboratories for interdisciplinary research, a vivarium, core equipment space, BSL-3 Lab (non-commissioned), potential clinical space, and meeting rooms and collaborative spaces, and other work areas. Upon successful completion of the program, the Owner may elect to extend the services of the selected firm to include the design, bidding assistance, and construction administration phases.
