Media Producer Opening Village of McFarland, WIThe Village of McFarland has an immediate opening for Media Producer in the Communications and Technology Department. The Media Producer will be responsible for recording, editing, and scheduling cable programs to be featured on WMCF and YouTube channels. WMCF is the Public, Education, or Government (PEG) Channel for the Village of McFarland. These channels feature all that is happening within the Community of McFarland including: local sports broadcasts, concerts, community events, recreational opportunities, marketing, government meetings, and more. The Media Producer also holds additional responsibilities including various tasks associated with the operations of cable stations and technical needs within the Department, as well as AV support provided within the Organization.The qualified candidate will possess the following education and experience: High school diploma or GED equivalency required. Associate degree in a field related to production and/or cablecasting of television programming is preferred.Minimum of 3 years’ experience in videography or local cable access is desired. Any combination of education and experience which in the sole discretion of the Village would demonstrate the ability to meet the required knowledge, skills and abilities for the position may also be considered. Starting pay range is $20.37 to $25.81 per hour (depending on qualifications) with an excellent benefit package, including health insurance, participation in Wisconsin Retirement System, ample paid time off and much more.
