New Playground Facilities at Kensington International Elementary School

The bids are to be prepared and submitted at www.biddocsonline.com. The City through its Department of Parks, Buildings & Recreation Management – Facilities Division is seeking bids for improvements to Elementary School Playgrounds at the following Springfield Public Schools. These bids fall under M.G.L. Ch. 30§39M and other procurement statutes. Bids for Prime/General Contractors will be received until 2:00 PM on November 15, 2023, and publicly opened, forthwith online. Bid 24-077 – The Improvements to Frederick Harris Elementary School will include installation of sediment & erosion controls; bituminous concrete pavement; engineered wood fiber safety surfacing; cement concrete pavement; drainage; earthwork;

installation of owner-supplied playground equipment, prefabricated pavilion, and furnishings; fencing; coordination with Owner’s poured-in-place safety surfacing vendors; site restoration and landscaping. Estimated value of the contract is approximately $250,000.00. It is strongly encouraged to attend a site visit on 11/2/23 at 11:00 A.M. at 31 Kensington Avenue, Springfield, MA 01108. These meetings will provide an opportunity for interested parties to inspect the sites and all particulars and resolve questions regarding the scope of work, existing conditions and the specifications.
