Laguna Campground Improvements

THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any information requests. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. The USDA, Pacific Southwest Region 5 is planning to solicit forestry-related services for Laguna Campground Improvements in Cleveland National Forest.  The work includes but shall not be limited to site work, surveying, demolition, clearing and grubbing, excavation and placement, compaction, striping, best management practices (BMP’s), aggregate base, asphalt pavement, portland cement concrete, concrete reinforcement and sampling and testing.  Demolition of seven existing vault toilet buildings, existing wood barrier posts, campground signage, fencing, asphalt walkways, concrete

walkways, picnic tables, hose bibbs and bases, and septic tank.  Construction improvements include, but are not limited to site preparation and install of new vault toilet buildings, accessible concrete walkways, accessible camp units, concrete pad, fee tube, septic tanks, new water syste, valves boxes, hose bibbs, upgrades to existing water system and repairs.  Roadway improvements include, but are not limited to cleaning out existing culverts, pulverize existing asphalt roadway and camp unit spurs, widen campground spurs, roadway and parking areas.  Install new aggregate subbase, new asphalt pavement, speed humps, wood barrier posts, bollards, wood fencing, wheel stops, traffic signs, rip rap, geotextile material, carsonite delineator markers and pavement striping. The type of set-aside decision to be issued will depend upon the capabilities of the responses to this sources sought announcement. The purpose of this Sources Sought announcement is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of various members of industry, to include the Small Business Community: Small Business, Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUB-Zone), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Economically Disadvantage Woman-Owned Small Business. The Government must ensure there is adequate competition among the potential pool of responsible contractors. Small business, Section 8(a), HUB Zone, EDWOSB and SDVOSB are highly encouraged to participate. Firm's response to this Sources Sought Announcement shall be limited to five (5) pages and shall include the following information: 1.
