These services are sought for fourteen (14) Target Sampling Areas, for which the minimum bid is one (1) such Target Sampling Area. Scope of Work The successful Bidder(s) will safely perform plot-based field sampling and associated data management and transfer services across

predetermined locations in the Managed Forest Zone (similar to the area formerly known as the Area of the Undertaking). Such services will be provided for about eleven (11) months, without possibility of extension, and will serve to support: lidar (light detection and ranging) models used to produce forest inventory, forest growth and yield models, digital soil mapping, and a variety of status and trend reporting needs. Bidder(s) will establish and measure four hundred square metre (400 m2) fixed radius Field Plots in forested conditions within Target Sampling Area(s) in the Managed Forest Zone. The VSNP outlines in detail three (3) plot Types to be used for this purpose: A, B and C. Field protocols differ by plot Type. The number and Type of plots to be completed in each Target Sampling Area is provided or estimated in the RFB. Exact quantities, Types, and specific locations (coordinates) of plots will be provided by the Ministry prior to Bidder(s) developing Work Plan(s). A quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) framework must be included in each Work Plan and monthly reporting is required. Les services, qui seront fournis pendant environ onze (11) mois sans possibilité d’extension, alimenteront les modèles lidar (détection et télémétrie par ondes lumineuses) servant à produire l’inventaire forestier et les modèles de croissance et de rendement forestiers, la cartographie numérique du sol et divers rapports sur l’état et les tendances. Les soumissionnaires établiront et mesureront des parcelles de quatre cents mètres carrés (400 m2) à rayon fixe en terrain forestier dans les zones cibles d’échantillonnage comprises dans la zone forestière aménagée. Le PREV décrit en détail trois (3) types de parcelles à utiliser à cette fin : A, B et C. Les protocoles à appliquer sur le terrain diffèrent selon le type de parcelle. Le nombre et le type des parcelles à établir dans chaque zone cible d’échantillonnage sont fournis ou estimés dans la demande de soumissions. Le ministère fournira les nombres exacts, les types et les lieux précis (coordonnées) des parcelles avant que les soumissionnaires élaborent leurs plans de travail. Chaque plan de travail doit comprendre un cadre d’assurance et de contrôle de la qualité, et des rapports mensuels sont exigés.
