UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON Haggett Hall Replacement Project No. 207313 Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Design-Build Services General: The University of Washington (University or UW) is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified design-build teams (which may include joint ventures) to design and construct the Haggett Hall Replacement. Project Description: The project will include demolition, redesign and construction of Haggett Hall. The scope will include complete abatement and demolition of the existing dormitory, site restoration including bringing existing grades and service roadways surrounding Willow and Haggett Halls into compliance with Seattle Department of Construction & Inspections (SDCI) and Seattle Fire Department (SFD) criteria as well as the design, permitting and construction of a replacement Haggett Hall. UW will engage in a two-part Integrated Design-Build (IDB) selection process: the General Contractor selection followed by the Design Architect

selection. This will be a phased project – Phase 1 including abatement/demolition, site restoration and code compliance criteria and the design of the new Haggett Hall: Phase 2 will include the permitting and construction of the new Haggett Hall. Building program to include parking, fitness and wellness center, entry lounge areas and 800 student beds. Phase 2 approval will proceed upon Board of Regent’s approval September 2023. The project budget is $165 million. The target budget for all work to be provided under the design-build contract is $115 million.
