The Harquahala Flood Retarding Structure (FRS) is located in western unincorporated Maricopa County north of Interstate-10 near Salome Road. Major work activities include applying rock mulch on the dam embankment to stabilize and protect against erosion, constructing an aggregate base course O&M road on the dam crest, grading the upstream toe O&M road and installing 4-strand barbed wire fencing.
