Description of Work: The proposed construction consists of approximately 1,300 feet of 6-inch through 12-inch water main replacement, fire hydrants, valves, water service replacements, 2,100 feet of 6-inch through 18-inch sewer replacement, HMA surface removal and patching, 2,000 tons of HMA pavement, 600 square yards of PCC pavement, 2,900 feet of curb & gutter removal and replacement, 8,700 square feet of PCC sidewalk removal and replacement, pavement marking, lawn restoration, and other miscellaneous items of work. Contractors must purchase bid documents and be shown on the Bidder’s Planholder List in order to bid. Bids received from contractors who are not in the Bidder’s Planholder List will be rejected. The Village of Oak Park reserves the right to issue plans and specifications to only those contractors deemed qualified. All prospective bidders must prove they are pre-qualified by the Illinois Department of Transportation by providing a certificate of eligibility to the Engineering Division at which time a password will be issued for access to the online bid documents. No plans will be issued to prospective bidders after 4:00 P.M. on the working day preceding the opening of bids.
