SUBCONTRACTORS: Job Details Shoreline Middle Schools BP#6 (Rebid) Shoreline, WA Status:Open Bids Due Date:Wednesday 7/17/2019 2:00 PM Package Information:Shoreline Middle Schools (Kellogg & Einstein) Renovations Bid Package #6 (REBID) Virtual Prebid Meeting: July 1, 2019 at 10:00AM Package Description:Hoffman Construction Company of Washington (“GC/CM”) requests RFQs for the above on behalf of the Owner, Shoreline School District. Shoreline School District as the Owner has approved Hoffman Construction Company of Washington acting as the General Contractor/Construction Manager (GC/CM) to utilize an alternative subcontractor selection process per RCW 39.10.385 for the work described herein related to the Shoreline Middle Schools Replacement Project. The Shoreline Middle Schools Replacement project consists of replacement of two middle schools (Einstein and Kellogg Middle Schools) to address population growth and overcrowding in the Shoreline School District. Both Einstein and Kellogg
Middle Schools currently house seventh and eighth grade students, and the new middle schools will be designed to add sixth grade students. Both replacement schools will be approximately 150,000 sf, 2 to 3 stories, and built to house 1,000 to 1,100 students. Construction for both schools is expected to begin in spring 2019 and opening day for the schools will be late August 2020. Due to the lack of available ‘swing space’ in the district, both schools will remain occupied throughout construction except for normal school breaks. This bid package includes the following scopes of work: 6I Ceilings (EMS & KMS) 6L Fluid-Applied Flooring (EMS & KMS) 6M1 Wall Coverings (EMS & KMS) 6M2 Acoustical Panels (EMS & KMS) 6M3 Visual Display Boards (EMS & KMS) 6O Toilet Compartments (EMS & KMS) 6T Site Concrete (EMS & KMS) 6V Landscaping (EMS & KMS) Refer to the RFP for complete submittal requirements and additional information. BIDS MUST UTILIZE THE SPECIFIED PROPOSAL FORM and be delivered, faxed or emailed to arrive at Hoffman Construction Company, 600 Stewart Street, Suite 1000, Seattle, Washington 98101, Bid Fax 206/286-7523, Email BIDS@hoffmancorp.com, no later than 2:00 p.m., July 17, 2019. There will be a public opening of bids. Bids will be opened in the presence of the Owner’s Representative A BID BOND in the form of a surety bond, cashier’s check or certified check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid must be attached to bids in excess of three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000). BID BOND shall be payable to Hoffman Construction Company of Washington. Bid bond may be scanned with emailed bid and original delivered no later than 24 hours after the bid due date and time. Failure to provide BID BOND with bid shall render bid non-responsive. Bidders must be licensed in Washington State Labor and Industries at the time of submission of their bids.
