The purpose of this contract is to secure a complete set of services to accomplish a stream restoration project.  The Contractor shall provide services to move 410 trees and logs, with and without rootwads, from  material staging sites to mapped and/or flagged destinations in Traverse Creek and Hehe Creek. The trees shall be placed in locations to enhance aquatic habitat.The project involves transport of trees from various staging sites (elevation 1,100 –2,000 feet above sea level) to Traverse Creek and Hehe Creek (elevation 1,200 – 1,700 feet above sea level), destinations ranging from about 0.1 to 1.2 miles from staging sites.  Tree and log weights are estimated at an average of 4,000 pounds and a maximum of 7,500 pounds.  Tree and log lengths range from 25 to 45 feet long.  Of the 410 trees, 38 of them have rootwads attached.  Access roads to staging areas and service landings are paved or graveled and are accessible by truck.Location: The project area is located on the Middle Fork Ranger District of the Willamette National Forest, Lane County, Oregon. See Attachment 1 for a vicinity map of the project areas.   All project areas are in the Fall Creek watershed.  The Traverse Creek and Hehe Creek sites are approximately 11 air miles apart and 25 miles or 1 hour by road.The Period of Performance is August 1, 2022, to November 17, 2022.
