REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS JAIL ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES ASHTABULA COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS The Board of Ashtabula County, Ohio Commissioners ("County") is soliciting Requests for Qualifications for Jail Architectural and Engineering Services for a new jail and Sheriff’s Office. The project requires Architectural and Engineering services to design the new Ashtabula County Jail. The County is currently undertaking significant reform to its criminal justice system and realizes the size, scope, design and operations of a new County Jail must support this reform. The County is seeking partners with a strong justice portfolio who are interested in working with the County to develop innovative operational designs which will support effective services and programs in the facility while maintaining public safety. The new facility will include the following components at a minimum: Sheriff’s office, detention center, support and common areas. Scope

of work deliverables include but may not be limited to the following items:  facility concepts, schematic design, design development, site evaluation and master plan, construction documents, bid documents, code review, presentation to the County, participation in public hearings, construction administration and observation.
