The County of Solano is soliciting proposals from Investment Advisory Firms for Investment Advisory Services. Investment practices and procedures must comply with state law and the County's written investment policy ( https://www.solanocounty.com/depts/ttcc/treasurer/investment_reports.asp).The County is soliciting bids on two distinct portions of the proposal:Advisory services, andlimited portfolio management including Advisory Services.Advisory services. Advisory services will provide technical and strategic advice that will supplement the Investment Division Staff in the management of the portfolio.The Investment advisory firm, upon request, will provide emergency discretionary management of the investment portfolio for a period not to exceed 60 days.The County is soliciting a separate proposal for the services described above in addition to limited

discretionary daily portfolio management services as determined by the Treasurer. BackgroundThe County Treasurer manages a pooled investment fund of approximately $2 billion consisting of operating funds and capital funds for the county and participating agencies. The solicitation is for services to supplement treasury staff in the management of the pooled investment fund.The County of Solano is located along Interstate 80 between San Francisco and Sacramento. The county has a population of 452,000 living in seven cities and the incorporated area of the County.
