Luke Weathers, Jr. VA Medical Center is seeking information from the Security Industry, on recommendations for providing an "incentivized" contract in reducing crime activities on the medical center campus. The Lt. Col. Luke Weathers, Jr VA Medical Center is located at 1030 Jefferson Avenue, Memphis, TN 38104, on a 33-acre campus. This VA Medical Center is a fully accredited 244-bed tertiary care facility. The facility consists of the main campus and two (2) off-site, VA -staffed primary care clinics.Memphis is Tennessee's number one city in terms of crime, and it is the 2nd most dangerous city in the United States. Both property and violent crime rate outstrips the national average by over 400%, ranking as the highest in the state. The Memphis VAMC is located in the heart of downtown Memphis.
