The successful Proposer will provide business intelligence/technology services in the form of specialized software to enhance decision making and analytical thinking; chiefly, a Microsoft Excel “add-in” to enhance basic financial reporting and ad-hoc reporting. The County is seeking to more efficiently transform/reorient data into useful information, and for an integrated real-time (live) view specifically within Microsoft Excel and macro-enabled drilldowns upon demand (reports akin to a standard trial balance report and account analysis report). A real-time direct data connection/formulation with user-generated drilldowns improves veracity in comparison with data downloads, reduces errors, increases productivity, and saves time. A user-friendly interface within Microsoft Excel for creating custom and formatted reports is an essential prerequisite to the further development of financial charts and graphs for the more visually inclined. From beginning to end, the ideal software solution will provide an enhanced overall fiscal reporting experience for the County’s finance and accounting professionals, end-users, and report recipients.
