Traffic Services & Parking Enforcement Solution Project Description :The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is solely to gather information regarding a traffic services and parking enforcement solution and to help Toronto Police Service (TPS) shape the future of traffic and parking enforcement in the City of Toronto (the City). TPS is looking to understand innovations in the field of Traffic and Parking Enforcement and Automated License Plate Recognition (ALPR) technology. This RFI will also help to estimate future budgetary requirements should the TPS elect to proceed with such an initiative. This RFI document does not form a competitive bid process or legal offer. In the event the TPS is satisfied that there is sufficient interest, availability, and feasibility of providing suitable solutions, the TPS may, but is not obligated to initiate a competitive bidding opportunity. Respondents must understand that this RFI document and their participation by responding is not interpreted or construed as a solicitation for tenders or proposals. TPS encourages participation from potential solution providers in this RFI process, which will be reported to an evaluation committee. In turn, the committee will consider submitted responses when determining whether or not to initiate a competitive process to solicit bids for all or part of any of the areas that fall under this RFI. This RFI will not be used to pre-qualify or screen respondents in connection with a future competitive bidding process, if any is to be initiated by the TPS.
