County’s Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) is seeking proposals from local programs geared towards preventing juvenile crime in our area. The JCPC board members work on several committees that review the needs of Hoke County’s juveniles, determine the services needed to address the problem areas, develop a request for proposals for those services in need, evaluate program performance, and submit a written funding plan to the County Commissioners for their approval each year. The Hoke County JCPC is now taking applications for the 2024-25 Budget year. Our anticipated County Allocation is $165,302. The use of these funds in Hoke County requires each program to provide a 10% local match. The funded programs are expected to begin on, or after, July 1st, 2024.JCPC board members will consider proposals for the following needed programs: Mentoring Services, Interpersonal Skill Building, Parent/Family Skill Building, Restitution/Community Service, Juvenile Structured Day, Teen Court and Mediation Conflict Resolution.
