ITB # 2019-034 - Metal Storage Building Description: Sealed Bids for the construction of the Metal Storage Building project will be received, by the City of Salem, Virginia, at the office of the City of Salem Purchasing Department, 114 North Broad Street, P.O. Box 869, Salem, Virginia, 24153, until 3:00 P.M. local time on June 20, 2019, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of a Base Bid including the design and construction of a gas-heated metal storage building and foundation, and related HVAC, Electrical, lighting, and site work. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders, payable to the City of Salem, Virginia in an amount not less than 5% of the Bidder’s maximum Bid price, and in the form of a certifie check, bank money order, or a Bid bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraphs 6.01 and 6.02 of the General Conditions.
