pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Commercial Items. The ACC-APG Tenant Contracting Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source supply contract to Makergear. Cage Code: 7LSR4. Please see the attachment labeled, “Justification Redact” for further detail as to why this action is being negotiated solely with Makergear. The objective of this contract is the acquisition of 20 commercial Makergear Ultra One additive machines (3D printer), customized to Army Specifications to support DEVCOM CBC at Aberdeen Proving Ground. These machines will be part of an additive manufacturing kit that will be inserted in the fielded MWMSS system. This kit has been designed to meet warfighter needs to supply replacement parts at the point of need in a forward deployed situation. This machine has been modified from the off the shelf version of the machine to meet the needs of deployment with the MWMSS. This requirement is unique that only MakerGear LLC. is capable of satisfying the Government needs. The company owns the proprietary rights to the engineering plans. As such, this requirement will be awarded on a sole-source basis IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) Soliciting from a single source (exclusive licensing agreements). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 333249. Posting date of this requirement is July 25, 2022. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 11:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time, August 25, 2022. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. This is not a Request for Quote.
