Notice of Public Meeting: Essential Health Benefit (EHB) Public Stakeholder MeetingThe Alaska Division of Insurance is considering updating Alaska’s current Essential Health Benefits (EHB) benchmark plan under 45 CFR §156.111. Alaska is exploring adding and expanding key benefits to better align with the needs of Alaskans. These changes would directly impact the coverage of individual and small group insurance market plans and indirectly impact large group insurance policies.Wakely Consulting Group is the actuarial firm assisting Alaska with the EHB update project. We have scheduled a public meeting on February 27, 2024, from 10:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m.At the meeting, the Wakely team will present: An overview of Alaska’s current EHB benchmark plan and national EHB offerings, trends, and recent updates.
