SOURCES SOUGHT: House/Apartment Rental for Seasonal Fire Staff in or around Placerville, CA The U.S. Government, Bureau of Land Management (BLM) California, is seeking information for a housing lease preferably apartment, duplex, or single-family home. The lease is required for eight (8) Seasonal Firefighters during the active fire season, which range from the end of May to the end of October in or around Placerville, CA. The minimum requirement is for eight beds and four bedrooms and bathroom(s). The ideal lodging would be furnished or partially furnished housing units with a cooking area. More than one lease may be negotiated from this announcement to meet the total need. BLM-CA requires the ability to lease units for a minimum of five (5) months or less/more. This notice is NOT a request for quotes or a solicitation. Offered space must meet Government requirements for fire safety, accessibility, seismic and sustainability standards per the terms of the lease. A fully services,

single recurring payment, lease is required. Lessor must provide utilities (water, sewer, heat, electricity, and trash removal), parking and facility maintenance. Based upon response to this announcement, the Government may determine to set this acquisition aside or proceed with an unrestricted solicitation. This notice is not a request for proposal and the information presented in this announcement will not obligate the Bureau of Land Management in any manner. Utilities (electrical, propane, waste) provided in lease. D. Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors required. E. Spare keys for the home are required. F. Cleaning of home/apartment prior to lease. G. Landlord needs to make sure everything in home is safe and in good working order prior to renters occupying home. H. Final walk through with landlord or delegate. I. If a single home large enough to house all individuals is not available, a second house/apartment may be considered.
