General Contractor Bid for Philip C Beal WTP KOH Chemical Feed System, January 25, 2024

Advertisement 1. Sealed Bids from General Contractors for the project entitled Philip C. Beal WTP KOH Chemical Feed System will be received by the Hanover Department of Public Works at the Hanover Department of Public Works, 495 Hanover Street, Hanover, MA 02339, until 11:00 am prevailing time on February 22, 2024, at which time said Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. All bids shall be submitted within a sealed envelope addressed to the “Hanover Department of Public Works, 495 Hanover Street, Hanover, MA 02339” and entitled “General Contractor Bid for Philip C. Beal WTP KOH Chemical Feed System”. 2. The work includes, but is not limited to: a. Selective demolition of the existing phosphate chemical feed system. b. Furnishing and installing a concrete containment area. c. Furnishing, installing, and testing of a potassium hydroxide chemical feed system as note in the associated plans and specifications. 3. The Contract duration for this Project shall be 150 calendar days from

the Notice to Proceed date. 4. A pre-bid meeting will be held at 9:00 a.m. on February 8, 2024, at 100 Riverside Drive. Representatives of Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the Project. Engineer will transmit to all prospective Bidders of record such Addenda as Engineer considers necessary in response to questions arising at the meeting. All bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. 5. Contract Documents may be obtained from H2Olson Engineering, Inc. by contacting Stephen Olson by telephone (508-375-7007) or email (sco@h2olsonengineering.com) beginning 8:00 a.m., January 31, 2024. Bidders must sign up and obtain bid documents from H2Olson Engineering, Inc. in order to receive any issued addenda, which must be acknowledged on the bid form to be submitted. 6. Each bid shall be accompanied with the following completed forms: Form of Non-Collusion Affidavit and Certificate as to Payment of State Taxes. 7. Each bid shall also be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a certified, treasurer's or cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the value of the Bid. 8. Each bid must be accompanied by a copy of the current Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Deputy Commissioner of the Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management (DCAM) showing that the bidder has the classification and capacity rating to perform the work required (Sewage and Water Treatment Plants for General Contractors and the applicable sub-bid category of work for Sub-bidders). Each bid must also be accompanied by an Update Statement in the form prescribed by the DCAM Deputy Commissioner. 9. Complete instructions for filing Bids are included in the Instructions to Bidders, Section 00100. 10. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to accept any Bid deemed by them to be in the best interest of the Town of Hanover.
