MPU5 Wave Relay Tactical Radios for ERDC GSL

** This solicitation has been extended through 5:00pm CST, Wednesday, 4 May 2022.This is a combined synopsis/solicitation prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice for MPU5 Wave Relay Tactical Radios.  The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Geotechnical and Structures Laboratory (GSL) Structural Engineering Branch (StEB) in Vicksburg, MShas a requirement for wireless communications to be used with the SIAM (Seismic-Infrasound-Acoustic-Meteorological) Array.  The new wireless communication option we have identified for the SIAM Array data telemetry is a MPU5 Wave Relay Tactical Radio smart network.  The MPU5 Wave Relay radios manufactured by Persistent Systems, LLC are commonly used within the Army for different data telemetry needs without the need for fixed infrastructure.  Ensuring consistency with communications systems will provide the ERDC GSL secure

communications for the SIAM Array while also being compatible with other Army assets.  For this reason, this specific brand name of radio is the best technical solution.  This purchase includes 7 radios, 4 receivers, and all of the necessary accessories (cables/connectors/etc.).  Please refer to the Description of Requirements (DOR) attached to this combined synopsis/solicitation posting for additional information.W912HZ22Q8187 is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) with the intent to issue a single Firm-Fixed Price Contract. This procurement is being set aside 100% for Small Business. The North American Industry Classification System Code for this procurement is 334220, Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing with a Size Standard of 1,250 Employees.
