LEGAL NOTICE The Board of County Commissioners of Wayne County, Ohio, will accept sealed bid proposals for an aggregate bid from General Contracting Firms to provide General Construction Work on or before 2:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, for the Wayne County Care Center Roof Project. This project must be completed by Saturday, October 1, 2022. The Architect’s estimate for this project is a base cost of $475,000.00. Copies of the Invitation to Bid may be obtained from the Wayne County Commissioners’ office, located at 428 W. Liberty St., Wooster, Ohio 44691. Please call 330-287-5400 to schedule a pickup time. Copies of the Invitation to Bid may also be obtained by sending a written request, via email, to Amanda Stock, Legal Assistant, at astock@wayneohio.org. All questions must be submitted in writing, via email, to Amanda Stock. Bidders are responsible for ensuring that all emails are sent and received. A pre-bid

meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at the site located at 876 S. Geyers Chapel Rd, Wooster, Ohio 44691. Each bidder is presumed to have conducted a site inspection to examine existing conditions and all surrounding conditions and protections needed affecting the work to be performed. Each bidder will be required to submit with his bid, a Bid Guarantee and Contract Bond in the amount of one hundred (100%) percent of the bid in conformance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code, or a Certified Check, Cashier’s Check or Letter of Credit in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total bid in accordance with Chapter 153.05 of the Ohio Revised Code. Attention is called to the fact that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, creed, sex or national origin as provided in RC 153.59. Attention is also called to the fact that the project is tax exempt. Bids must be submitted on the forms provided in the Invitation to Bid, all blanks of which must be accurately and appropriately completed. Bid proposals must be submitted to the Board of County Commissioners of Wayne County, Ohio, at 428 West Liberty Street, Lower Level, Wooster, Ohio 44691. Bidders shall submit one (1) original and one (1) copy of their Bid Proposal in a sealed envelope that is clearly marked: BID FOR EOC Wayne County Care Center Roof Project. The outside of the sealed envelope shall also include the complete name and address of the bidder. If a bid proposal is submitted by mail, the sealed envelope containing the bid proposal must be enclosed in an outer envelope addressed to the Board and designated as a bid for the project. Any bid not received at or before 2:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 will be disqualified. Shortly after the deadline for the submission of bids, any bids received on time will be publicly opened and read aloud. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, bidders are asked to send a maximum of one (1) representative per bidder to the bid opening. The bid opening will also be available via Zoom to individuals who register at https://www.wayneohio.org/wayne-county-commissioners-public-meeting-details. All bids must include a Bid Guaranty, as described in the Instructions to Bidders. Prevailing wage rates apply to this project. The Board maintains a website at https://www.wayneohio.org/. Until any contract(s) resulting from this Invitation to Bid is/are fully executed by all parties, including, but not limited to, the time between the adoption of any resolution(s) awarding and/or approving any contract(s) and full execution of said contract(s), this Reservation of Rights shall remain in effect. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of bids or the authorized postponement thereof.
