NBCCD - FOOD SERVICE MANAGEMENT AND OPERATIONS - NB Project Description :FOOD SERVICES (Includes Cafeteria Services) RFP# NBCCD001 FOOD SERVICE MANAGEMENT AND OPERATIONS It is the intent of this Request for Proposals to choose a Food Service Provider to provide food service management and operations for NBCCD as specified in section 2.3. These services must be operational starting September 5, 2023. The agreement shall be for the period from September 5, 2023, until May 31, 2025, with the option to renew for two (2) additional two (2) year terms. SCOPE OF THE SERVICE 1. The intent of this tendering process is to select a service provider for food service operations for NBCCD and to obtain the best quality of service at a reasonable price. 2. NBCCD is especially looking for proposals from bidders who have food service operation experience in a high-energy theme setting. NBCCD envisions this to be one or more branded food service operations. 3. NBCCD is looking for a branded provider to
supply two (2) distinct types of food services at the identified NBCCD locations which should encompass items such as, but not limited to: 1.Coffee/breakfast express services - Breakfast sandwiches, muffins, cookies - Hot and cold coffee/expresso drinks, tea - Other drink menu (water, juice, etc.) - Other proposed express kiosk items 2. Full meal service option - Soups, salads, sandwich style options - Drink menu (water, juice, soft drinks *see limitations in section 3.2.) - etc. Additional services may be requested at locations listed in this RFP or could be expanded to include other campuses or locations should NBCCD require. Additional services shall be established by mutual agreement. 4. In order to achieve the goals of NBCCD's food service operations, the bidder shall adopt the following objectives, with the goal of maintaining and/or expanding food service operations: - Pricing practices that are both fair and competitive compared to retail establishments in the surrounding area. Convenience fees for the use of debit or credit cards will not be allowed. - Efficient customer traffic flow during rush periods to minimize wait times; - Participation in the academic, cultural, and social environment of NBCCD, taking advantage of opportunities to offer special food services and other assistance based upon NBCCD's ongoing and unique activities. 5. Vending machine services are excluded from this tender unless as specifically mentioned in the document. NBCCD will not sell products in its vending machines at a price lower than the required price of the bidder. Bidder may have the option to raise its price to the vending machine rates should they choose to, as agreed by both parties. Specific vending requirements are included in Section 7. The Bidder is able to propose other solutions to the requirements detailed. This is a tender notice only.
