Scope of Work
The Work set forth within this solicitation document includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, services and incidentals for the disposal and replacement of  two (2) existing Lime Slaker Systems from the 1A Water Treatment Plant (WTP) located at 3701 N. State Road 7, Lauderdale Lakes, FL 33319 and 2A Water Treatment Plant located at 1390 NE 50
th
Street, Pompano Beach, FL 33064.
 

Goal Participation:
This solicitation is open

to the general marketplace.  
 

County/State License Requirements:
In order to be considered a responsive and responsible Vendor for the scope of work set forth in this solicitation, the Vendor must possess a specified license at the time of submittal (refer to Special Instructions for requirements).
 

Bid Guaranty:
Each submittal shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount (refer to Bid Guaranty, Performance and Payment Guaranties, and Qualifications of Surety Requirements).
 

Bid Allowance Amounts
: The solicitation includes pass-thru allowances. It is not necessary to add your allowance amounts into your bid prices. BidSync will automatically add the allowance amounts indicated to your bid total and will be reflected on final bid tabulation.
 

Questions and Answers:
The County provides a specified time for Vendors to ask questions and seek clarification regarding the requirements of the solicitation. All questions or clarification inquiries must be submitted through BidSync by the date and time referenced in the solicitation document (including any addenda).  The County will respond to all questions via BidSync.
 
Vendor MUST submit its solicitation response electronically and MUST confirm its submittal in order for the County to receive a valid response through BidSync. Refer to the
Purchasing Division website
or contact BidSync for submittal instructions. It is the Vendor’s sole responsibility to assure its response is submitted and received through BidSync by the date and time specified in the solicitation. The County will not consider solicitation responses received by other means.
Vendors are encouraged to submit their responses in advance of the due date and time specified in the solicitation document. In the event that the Vendor is having difficulty submitting the solicitation document through BidSync, immediately notify the Purchasing Agent and then contact BidSync for technical assistance.

To all prospective bidders please note the following changes. Word in strike-through type are deletions from existing text.
 
1.  Specifications and Requirements, Paragraph B.11 has been revised as follows:

11. Contractor is responsible to refurbish, pressure wash, acid clean existing slurry tanks. Contractor must replace two (2) T20-4B2A-BKQ - Single Stage Top Mounted Float Level Switch, one (1) JG Series Gear Mixer Dive Model 3.0, 1/3 HP through 1-1/2 HP-1-115/230,48 inch in length
and install two (2) new level sensors
, adjust existing weirs for two slurry tanks at WTP 1A and WTP 2A to make existing components operable to meet the desired functions.
