VETERANS AFFAIRS MEDICAL CENTER, Wilkes Barre, PAGENERAL INFORMATION FOLLOWED BY A TENTATIVE STATEMENT OF WORK NOTICE: This is not a solicitation but rather a Request for Information (RFI) (Sources Sought) to determine capability of potential sources and is for information and planning purposes only.Veterans Health Affairs, Network Contracting Office 4, is issuing this request for information/sources sought notice in order to identify capable firms to provide the CODE Model 2600 Barcode Readers (Scanner), part number CR2611-PKXXX package manufactured by the Code Corporation are needed as replacement/back-ups to existing readers (scanners) that are used on the Med Carts and Treatment Carts. The readers (scanners) MUST have FIPS 140-2 encryption. Presently, these readers (scanners) are used for patient care provided 24/7. In the event there is failure of any readers (scanners), without replacements available, a disruption in patient care flow, timeliness of treatment and an adverse
impact in providing patient centered care will occur.
