Notice of Intent to Issue Sole Source Award for Intergrated Pest Managment Training Services

NOTICE OF INTENT TO ISSUE SOLE SOURCE AWARDThis is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a solicitation or request for competitive quotes/proposals.The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on behalf of the Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes (OLHCHH), intends to negotiate with Cornell University of Ithica, NY on a sole source basis under the authority of 41 USC 3304(a)(1). The requirement is to provide delivery free integrated pest management (IPM) training through Stoppests.org to public housing managers and maintenance staff (or maintenance contractors if this function is contracted out), provide pre- and post-training technical assistance (TA) to housing providers who implement IPM, or HUD staff in headquarters or the field, actively work to eliminate documented obstacles to IPM in affordable housing, evaluate the IPM (or partial IPM) practices that are occurring in the participating public housing authorities/properties and

gather the data needed to assess any return on investment (ROI) and long-term cost-effectiveness and work with all regional IPM training centers as needed throughout this project to increase capacity on structural IPM issues. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development intends to issue a five year (one 12-month base year; and four 12-month option years); firm fixed price; sole source award contract to CORNELL UNIVERSITY.The NAICS Code is 561710 - Exterminating and Pest Control Services - Pest control (except agricultural, forestry) services – Integrated Pest Management Services to the Office of Lead Hazard Control and Healthy Homes Promoting Integrated Pest Management in Affordable Housing.Interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. The Government shall not reimburse interested sources for any information provided.
