Notice of Intent To Award Sole Source - Centurion Vision System

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT.The Regional Health Contracting Office - Central (RHCO-C), Fort Hood Health Contracting Branch (FHHCB), Fort Hood, Texas intends to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to O.R. Elder Inc. 1270 Broadway Ste 401, New York, NY 10001-3218, under the authority 41 U.S.C. 1901, IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) Only one source is reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization. The requirement is for the procurement purchase of a Centurion Vision System (also called Phacoemulsification Unit) Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center (CRDAMC), Fort Hood, Texas 76544. Award will be on or about December 13, 2022. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339112, Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing, The tentative delivery date is 23 January 2023. The Small Business Size Standard is 1,000 personnel.This notice is not a request for competitive

quotes. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. No telephonic inquires will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract for a Centurion Vision System through O.R. Elder Inc. The vendor provided an Alcon Inc. (Manufacturer) letter indicating that the O.R. Elder Inc. is the sole source provider of Centurion Vision System equipment to the Federal Government, and no other third party providers are authorized the manufacturer (Alcon Inc.). Contracting Officer determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonable available. A solicitation will not be published.
