Bid Title:BLACKFOOT ANIMAL SHELTER Category:Open Bids, RFPs & RFQsStatus:OpenBid Recipient:wgardner@cityofblackfoot.org Description: NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION FOR THEBLACKFOOT ANIMAL SHELTER The City of Blackfoot seeks to procure qualified public works construction of a new animal shelter to be located on City owned property near the Blackfoot Municipal Airport. The proposed animal shelter shall consist of at least the following: 1. A 70’x 80’ foot steel building designed and engineered professionally 2. No less than a 2/12 roof pitch with gable ends 3. Foundation at 30 inch frost depth, 1 foot above grade with 5 inch concrete floor. Contractor responsible to finish concrete pad around drains and other roughed-in plumbing. 4. Insulation of an R30 in the walls and R36 ceiling 5. One 10’x10’ insulated overhead door (placement location per City) 6. 2 Hollow metal doors 3’0” (placement location per

City) 7. Three 4-0 x 4-0 windows (placement location per City) 8. Include all excavation and slab prep 9. The City will be responsible for all plumbing, electrical, hvac, interior framing and interior finish work. 10. All work compliant with State and City building codes. Any interested parties shall submit a bid proposal including the following: 1. Name, address and telephone number of public works contractor submitting bid; 2. Requisite License information; 3. Time frame proposed for completion of project; 4. Total amount of bid price for animal shelter described above; and 5. Any other relevant information you may wish to include. Bid Deadline. Bids shall be submitted no later than 4:59 p.m. on the 18th ­­­­­­­­­ day of April, 2024. Bid envelopes shall be clearly marked on the outside as bid for: Animal Shelter Building, City of Blackfoot, Idaho. All bid proposals shall be submitted in writing to the City Clerk of the City of Blackfoot, located at 157 N. Broadway, Blackfoot, Idaho. All bids will be opened in public April 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the City Council Chambers at City Hall at the above address.
