In-Patient Food Service

 PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED.  Pursuant to the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b)(1)(i), the Department of the Navy (DoN), on behalf of the Naval Hospital Beaufort, SC, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Sodexo Management, 9801 Washington Blvd, Gaithersburg, MD 20878 for Patient Food Preparation, Assembling, Portioning, Packaging and Labeling in accordance with the ADA Diet Manual and Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Health Care Organization.  This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fbo.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.  For this action, the North American Classification System Code is 722310 and Product Service Code Q999.Based on market

research and contacts made with knowledgeable individuals within the government it has been determined that the DON's requirement can only be provided by Sodexo Management as they currently have a Memorandum on file with Beaufort Memorial Hospital and Navy Hospital Beaufort to facilitate completion the requested services.  This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interests and capabilities by response to this requirement to this office by 12:00 pm, EST, 09 September, 2019 via email to the attention of Kloh-Ann Derosin, Contract Specialist, at kloh-ann.c.derosin.civ@mail.mil. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Telephone requests will not be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
