Contractor agrees to provide specialized truck corridors feasibility study services to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). The purpose of the study is to assess the cost effectiveness, feasibility, system resilience, equity impacts, and environmental stewardship aspects of various Specialized Truck Corridor project concepts that could move goods more efficiently along key freight corridors, reducing shipping costs, and increasing global competitiveness of the largest freight markets in the United States. This study will focus on performance-based and innovative planning. While centered on trucking, the study aims to ensure conflicts between trucks and other modes of transportation are minimized. The study also aims to ensure that the Specialized Truck Corridor concepts assessed in this study would not induce passenger travel demand or Greenhouse Gas
