PIERCE TRANSIT CALL FOR BIDS BUILDING 4 INTERIOR/EXTERIOR IMPROVEMENTS Contract No. 1100, Project No. 345 PIERCE TRANSIT is a municipal corporation with administrative offices located at 3701 96 th Street SW, Lakewood, Washington 98499-4431. Bid proposals are being solicited from bidders to furnish labor, equipment and materials to complete the Building 4 Interior/Exterior Improvements. Scope of Work Interior renovations and improvements at Pierce Transit’s main lobby, general ceiling tile, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) modifications and associated work. Exterior improvements for exterior coating at mechanical penthouse. Alternative No. 1: Replacement of interior general lighting in-kind. Alternative No. 2: Exterior flagpole replacement. The Engineer’s Estimate is $ 875,000 to $ 1,100,000. COVID-19 Safety Precaution Requirements Pierce Transit is committed to ensuring our staff and visitors comply with the Governor’s orders and follow social distancing and

To ensure a safe public Pre-Bid Conference and public Bid Opening, every attendee at either event must comply with the following safety protocols: Temperature checking at the door A mask must be worn while in the building Maintain 6 feet distance between others One representative from each company preferred The above protocols are subject to change as conditions and requirement dictate. PRE-Bid Conference and Walk Through A Pre-Bid Conference and walk-through will be held November 2, 2020 at 8:30 a.m. commencing in the Training Center Building, Rainer Conference Room, located at 3720 96 th St. SW across from the Bus Lot. Parking is available in the Visitors Lot on the east end of the Building. Following the meeting, attendees will be invited to a walk-through. Tour of the facility will not be provided before or after the Pre-Bid Conference. See attached Visitor Parking Map. Bid Submittal Sealed bids will be received at Pierce Transit’s Headquarters until 10:00 a.m. on November 12, 2020 at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. Hand-delivered sealed Bids shall be delivered to Pierce Transit’s Training Center Building, located at 3720 96 th St. SW, on the south side of 96 th St. SW across from the Bus Lot in Lakewood, WA 98499. Parking is available in the Visitors Lot, on the East side of the building. Mailed Bids shall be addressed to Pierce Transit, 3701 96 th St. SW, Lakewood, WA 98499 attention Naomi Graham, Contract Coordinator. All inquiries regarding the contents and requirements of this Bid must be in writing and directed to Naomi Graham, Contract Coordinator via-email ngraham@piercetransit.org. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid. This Project will be funded in part by a grant from the Federal Transit Administration, all applicable federal rules and regulations apply. In accordance with Federal requirements, Pierce Transit has determined that this Contract has subcontracting possibilities and encourages the use of firms owned and controlled by Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE).
