Medtherm Calorimeters for Orion

NASA/Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC) has a requirement for calorimeters manufactured by Medtherm Corporation that will be used on the Orion spacecraft.NASA/AFRC intends to solicit and award a sole source contract to Medtherm Corporation, 2604 Newby Rd. SW, Huntsville, Alabama, 35805. Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), the Contracting Officer has determined that circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably acceptable The list of required parts is attached.Quality document Q-1 is attached, sections B and D apply to this acquisition.Vendor must be on the Armstrong Flight Research Center Quality Assurance Approved Vendor List.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit documentation describing their product's capabilities and qualifications to support this effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. Pacific on October 17, 2017.Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.
