Info Karen Little 818-238-5466 BurbankPurchasing@burbankca.gov Bids to Owner's Agent Description Scope of Services PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Water Pipelines Improvements Design-Build project consists of four subprojects, all of which are to be completed through one contract. Subproject A – Upper Country Club Water Distribution Pipeline Replacement Subproject B – Magnolia Water Distribution Pipeline Replacement Subproject C – Hollywood Way Water Transmission Pipeline Clean and Lining Subproject D – Transmission Pipeline Valves Replacement All four subprojects (described in Attachment A) that all need to be substantially complete by November 2024. SELECTION PROCESS The City anticipates undertaking a two-step process to select the Progressive Design-Builder for our Pipeline project(s). The first step is the release of this RFQu to solicit SOQs from interested Design-Builders. The City will then evaluate the SOQs based on the Evaluation Criteria listed in this solicitation. Based on this evaluation, the City will short-list no more than three potential Contractors who will be invited to advance to the RFP phase of the process. Other Details BWP is a municipal utility serving the needs of the City’s approximately 28,800 customer meters within a service area of 17 square miles. The utility includes 276 miles of pipe ranging in size from 3 inches to 30 inches in diameter. The subprojects will rehabilitate or replace existing water transmission and distribution pipelines and valves. Notes The objective of the RFQu is to identify highly qualified firms who are experienced in the construction of water transmission and distribution main pipelines, cleaning and cement lining water pipelines, and water transmission valve replacements.
