Lafayette Street Greenville, MI 48838 All responses must be clearly labeled – “Portable 11” Radar Speed Signs.” http://www.greenvillemi.org/ Request For Bids Evaluation of Proposals The City will review submitted bids and other relevant information regarding the products bid. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any response for any or no reason and to waive any minor irregularity if determined to be in the best interest of the City of Greenville. Selection of Proposals Once the winning proposal is selected, the City will draft an agreement. Upon bidder approval and execution, it will be presented to Council for approval. Scope of Work The City of Greenville will accept bids for the purchase and delivery of two specific 11” radar speed signs, plus ancillary equipment and, as an entire purchase package. The bid return must also include a minimum two year warranty for parts and labor. No sales tax may be added to the bid, as the City of Greenville is sales tax exempt. Additional specifications for the signs and ancillary equipment are found on the next page of this document. Bidders providing equipment outside of the bid specifications need to also provide the justification as to why the bid specifications could not be met and how the equipment proposed meets or exceeds the requested merchandise listed. Request For Bids Amounts, Specifications, and Types of Ancillary Equipment for the Portable 11” Radar Speed Signs Equipment Package Two Sign Hardware Package Including:  11” LED display area – superbright amber color  Two 12V 20 amp hour Lithium Iron batteries  AC battery charger  K-Band Radar, with detection range up to 1200 feet  Battery housing (field accessible to swap batteries), holds two battery packs, lock included  Universal bracket mount  Bashplate  Timers allowing up to 5 settings per day  Security switch allowing sign to go dark for 30 minutes if assaulted with force  Wi-Fi wireless transmitter with a 300 foot range Two Sign Faceplates / Hardware:  24” width by 21” height stating “YOUR SPEED” on the faceplate, 3” on one line, white reflective base with black lettering 1 Strobe Package:  One sign package must include the blue/red strobe alert (police flash). The other sign package will not have the strobes. 2 Sets of Data Packages:  Licensure for data collection package, consisting of 35 chars, graphs, and tables. Provides weekly, daily, hourly, and 1/2 hour data on # of vehicles, # of speeders, average speeds, peak speeds, 50th & 85th percentile & more. Extended 30 day charts included for trend analysis.
