The National Park Service, Midwest Region, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the replace elevator project at Keweenaw National Historic Park Headquarters, 25970 Red Jacket Road, Calumet MI, 49913. Project Description: This construction project will replace the existing 1979 hydraulic elevator at park headquarters. Work will include: removal of the existing elevator and equipment; upgrades to the existing elevator mechanical room located in the basement; modifications to openings in the existing elevator hoistway; patching and repair of adjacent architectural finishes; installation of new hydraulic elevator and equipment; and coordination with plumbing and mechanical systems. The building will be occupied during construction. SOLICITATION NUMBER: 140P6419R0008. PROJECT MAGNITUDE: Between $100,000 and $250,000. TYPE OF CONTRACT: This will be a firm-fixed price contract expected to be awarded to a prime contractor by April 2019 with
performance to begin in May 2019. Construction Wage Rate Requirements for Keweenaw County, MI will apply. EVALUATION FACTORS: Technical, Past Performance, and Price. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) CODE CLASSIFICATION and SET ASIDE: The NAICS Code is 238290, and the size standard is $15 million. This project is set aside 100% for Small Businesses. SITE VISIT: A site visit date, time, and meeting location will be announced in the solicitation. Offerors are highly encouraged to attend the scheduled site visit to inspect the site and to ensure they fully understand the requirement and conditions that may affect the cost of the project, specifications, and performance.
