Renovations And Additions To The John Davis Recreation Center

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FROM TRADE CONTRACTORS (SUBCONTRACTORS) FOR “RENOVATIONS AND ADDITIONS TO THE JOHN DAVIS RECREATION CENTER” FOR FELKER CONSTRUCTION CO., INC. AS CONSTRUCTION MANAGER FOR THE CITY OF DALTON, GEORGIA Felker Construction Co., Inc. (the “Construction Manager”) as construction manager for the City of Dalton, Georgia (the “City”), pursuant to the provisions of O.C.G.A. § 36-91-20(c), et. seq., herein seeks competitive Proposals from trade contractors for the construction of: “Renovations and Additions to the John Davis Recreation Center”, located at 904 Civic Drive, Dalton GA 30721 (the “Project”). The Project is a 2020 SPLOST referendum project, and the City has contracted with Felker Construction Co., Inc. to serve as the Construction Manager At-Risk for the Project. Through this competitive RFP, the Construction Manager will enter into subcontracts with Trade Contractors (the “Subcontractor”) for the various divisions of work required to construct the project. The

Subcontractors shall have a contractual relationship with the Construction Manager for completion of its scope of work. The Subcontractors will not have a contractual relationship with the City. Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Dalton Finance Department located at 300 W. Waugh Street, Dalton, Georgia 30720 until: APRIL 18, 2024 BY 2:00 PM (LOCAL TIME) for the above referenced project. Sealed proposals received after the designated time will not be considered. Proposers shall inform themselves of and comply with all conditions and specifications contained in RFP, related documents, and State and Federal Law. Proposers will be required to attend a mandatory pre-proposal meeting, as described in the RFP, in order to be considered a responsive proposer. The Construction Manager and the City of Dalton reserve the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive formalities and re-advertise.
