General Information The City of Grants Pass (City) is seeking sealed written proposals from interested and qualified companies or professionals to provide Underground Fuel Storage Tank Removal, Buildings Removal/Demolition, Canopy Removal, Removal and Disposal of Contaminated Soils, Footings Removal, Slabs Removal, Foundation Removal, Utility Abandonment and Related Activities. All materials are to be disposed of or reused in a manner pre-approved and acceptable to the City of Grants Pass. This Request for Proposals (RFP) is being released to invite interested and qualified companies or professionals to prepare and submit proposals in accordance with instructions provided where the successful Contractor(s) will be selected and invited to enter into an agreement for professional services with the City for the services outlined in this RFP. The City’s
selection process will be conducted in one-step, with the reserved right to conduct interviews and negotiations. Notice of the selected Contractor(s) for interview and negotiations (if any) will be provided to all Contractor(s) who submitted a response to this RFP within approximately 2 weeks. Notice of recommended award will be posted on the City’s website. There is no guarantee the City will ultimately enter into an agreement for these services. All final decisions will be made by the City Council. Following the selection process, all proposals will become public record. A minimum of one response from each proposer will be retained. All remaining copies will be destroyed. Underground Fuel Storage Tank Site The underground fuel storage tanks were used to store fuel on a site that was formerly a fuel station and are located at 704 NW 6th Street, Grants Pass, Oregon, 97526. Three underground tanks and related plumbing and services are to be removed. Two tanks are 8,000 gallon STI P3 and one tank is 6,000 gallon STI P3. All three tanks were installed in 1988. Approximately 10 cubic yards of potentially contaminated material is estimated to exist on the north side of the tanks’ location.
