We are located in the middle of the beautiful Kettle Moraine and nestled on the shores of Elkhart Lake. The Village is known for its charm, Victorian architecture and welcoming spirit. Elkhart Lake is a great place to live, work, and play. The Village of Elkhart Lake is seeking an individual to assist in performing the customer service and administrative duties of the Deputy Clerk-Treasurer and Police Administrative Assistant/Records Clerk. This position will work approximately 24 hours a week in the Administrator/Clerk’s office and 16 hours in the Police Department. This job will provide a variety of work tasks and environments. This position will report to the Village Administrator/Clerk-Treasurer and the Police Chief. This person should be positive, proactive, energetic and
community focused. Best candidates will be well-organized, capable of working with limited supervision, and have the ability to work well with the public. The ability to manage time effectively is also important. A high school diploma is required, but further education in a related field is preferred; Knowledge of municipal & police organizational structure, functions and operations or a willingness to learn; Ability to attend periodic night meetings; Computer proficiency in Microsoft products and willingness to learn governmental & police specific programs. Successful candidates will have a good attitude, be innovative, self-motivated, ready for education and interested in working in a team environment.
