Responses to the Request for Qualifications will be received until noon, Thursday, April 25, 2024, at the office of Karl Huemiller, Recreation Services Director, City of Richfield, 7000 Nicollet Avenue, Richfield, MN 55423. The City of Richfield’s selection committee will evaluate and score responses pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Section 471.463. Description: Description:Owner seeks CMAR services to build a new facility and reconfigure the site to house Wood Lake Nature Center offices and operations. Owner has completed a predesign phase with some preliminary site analysis, facility requirements, and cost estimates. The
Wood Lake Nature Center project will replace the current aging building with a fully-accessible, ADA-compliant, multi-purpose building. The project consists of approximately 4,000 square feet of building removal and the construction of a 19,000 square-foot space. The new building will include classroom and event space, museum exhibits, public lobby and lounge, rentals, staff and building support spaces, and covered outdoor spaces. It will connect to proposed and existing outdoor program areas and trails. Throughout the project, stormwater management and providing trail access to the public will be critical. As a requirement of the grant funding, the Nature Center will be enrolled in a B3 Program and must meet all B3 standards. This project may include reconfiguration of the current street access and parking lot.
