NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLICIT FROM A SINGLE SOURCE: The Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 02 intends to solicit from a single source IAW 13.106(b) to obtain a Service Contract for existing Chemo Waste containers.  Period of performance: 12 months base and four 12 months option periods.   Basic description of the requirement: The Northport VA Medical Center is currently in need to purchase services/maintenance for the collection and removal of existing Chemo Waste Containers on a weekly basis or as needed. Other types of Regulated Medical Waste are not included. Place of Performance: Northport VA Medical Center 79 Middleville Rd. Northport, NY 11768  The NAICS code for this requirement is 562112- Hazardous Waste Collection with a size standard of $41.5 Million Intended Source:   Stericycle, Inc. 2333 Waukegan RD STE 300 Bannockburn, IL 60015-1575 UEI: TLHHRHGCUF36 THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However,
interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by October 3, 2022 at 4:00PM Eastern Standard Time (EST).  The Department of Veterans Affairs will NOT be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice of intent. Only written responses from responsible sources will be considered. Any prospective contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award.   Interested parties are encouraged to furnish information by email only with RESPONSE TO INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE CHEMO WASTE REMOVAL SERVICE CONTRACT in the subject line. All documents submitted, will not be returned. All interested parties shall submit clear and convincing documentation, including EPA/NYS Permit information, demonstrating their capabilities to satisfy the requirements listed above to Contract Specialist Leia Labruna at Leia.Labruna@va.gov. The capability documentation should include general information and technical background describing in detail the prospective contractor's capabilities and experience that will demonstrate the ability to support these requirements.Â
