2. Contract Title. Driving Simulator 3. Background. The DriveSafety CDS-250W is a compact, non-immersive driving simulation system optimized for use in clinical
settings. It is designed as a clinical tool for occupational and physical therapy, as well as driver rehabilitation and driving performance measurement for ambulatory, wheelchair transfer and non-transfer clients.
4. Scope.
The following critical set of features are unique to the DriveSafety simulation systems:
SimClinic Clinical Software: Therapist inspired exercises and scenarios designed to service the needs of Occupational Therapists as well as driving rehabilitation specialists.
Bariatric seat: provides 9 fore/aft adjustment to fit wide range of clients
Electric seat lift: provides over 4 vertical adjustment to fit wide range of clients
Eye-relief adjusting displays: the displays adjust forward and backward as needed to maintain consistent, optimal eye-relief distance from screens to driver s eyepoint for all sizes of drivers and seat positions
Reduced-immersion displays: three 19 LED displays are optimized for client comfort and effectiveness during simulation. *
Retina-limited visual resolution displays: by using high resolution displays at our prescribed eye relief distance, the DriveSafety displays achieve greater than eye-limited resolution. This provides excellent support for clients for visual target detection and visual discrimination tasks.
High quality audio simulation: includes dynamic panning and Doppler-shift effects on a Bose sound system with powered subwoofer.
Wheelchair Transfer Frame: facilitates wheelchair transfer training.
Removable seat platform: allows full wheelchair access with standard adaptive equipment.
Electric driving console lift: Only DriveSafety provides fully height-adjustable driving console to accommodate the entire range of wheelchair heights.
Adaptive Equipment: Built-in left-foot accelerator (stowable when not in use) plus custom mount for genuine Sure Grip interchangeable styles of hand controls, including Push/Rock, Push/Right Angle, and Push/Pull styles, plus spinner knob on the wheel.
