NASA/MSFC has a requirement for the purchase of a Concept Laser X-Line 2000R Additive Manufacturing (AM) machine to support the EM42 Lab.
NASA/MSFC intends to purchase the GE Company DBA GE Additive X-Line 2000R AM machine on a sole source basis from GE Additive.
The NASA MSFC Nonmetallic Materials and Manufacturing Branch requires the X- Line 2000R AM Machine to support the Liquid Engine Office (LEO) Development program for the RS25 Liquid Rocket Engine. This machine will also support AM certification rational and requirements development.
The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.
Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 06/19/2019 by 12:00 p.m. CST. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.

All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
