This is a pre-solicitation announcement only.This is a synopsis of an upcoming solicitation, 140R1722Q0008, Weed Control for Yakima River Basin Water Enhancement Project (YRBWEP). The Bureau of Reclamation, Pacific Northwest Region intends to solicit quotes for a Firm Fixed Price Commercial Item Supply contract, in support of the YRBWEP.The purpose of this acquisition is to provide professional vegetation restoration and invasive species management services to restore and enhance fish, riparian and upland habitat on the Yakima River and tributaries in Kittitas and Yakima Counties, Washington. Contractor will use an integrated pest management (IPM) approach to control noxious weeds and invasive plants which include multiple methods such as: biological, chemical, and cultural controls on lands administered by the YRBWEP. There are seven different area which cover approximately 1,400 acres from the base year to option year three, option year four has approximately 1,650 acres.Pursuant to
FAR Part 12, 13 and 15 of the Federal Acquisition regulations, Reclamation intends to issue a written Request for Quotation (RFQ) through sam.gov on or about the middle of January 2022. The Request for Quote will be issued as a total small business set-aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561730, Landscaping Services, with a Small Business Size Standard of $8 Million. Contractors will be expected to comply with FAR 52.219-14 Limitations on Subcontracting.The Government anticipates award of a firm fixed price purchase order during the middle of February 2022. The contract is expected to be a base plus four option years. Reclamation will consider all responsible sources who submit a timely quote that conforms to the solicitation.Any contractor interested in doing business with the Federal Government must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to the closing date of the solicitation.
