Scope In general, the work consists of: A. The work, as detailed below, shall consist of site rebuilding of one (1) Alfa Laval AS-H Belt Press G3 200 (Klampress® Extended), 2.0 Meter Belt Filter Press (BFP) as specified herein for the Clear Lake City Water Authority (CLCWA). Rebuilding of the machine will be performed at the CLCWA’s facility. B. All local motor disconnect devices and/or local motor lock-outs that may be required by a governing electrical code shall be provided and installed by the Owner. The Contractor shall be responsible for loading/off-loading of parts/crates at the jobsite. The Contractor shall be responsible for movement of parts in/out of the Sludge Dewatering Building. C. The scope of supply includes the following: 1. A

complete rehabilitation of the existing belt filter press including all labor, parts, shipping, assembly/disassembly, arranging, scheduling and equipment re-commissioning services shall be provided by the Contractor. The Contractor shall be responsible for scheduling and paying for all inbound and outbound freight costs to deliver materials to/from the job site. The Contractor shall also be responsible for receiving any deliveries made to the job site and must be present for all deliveries made to the job site regardless of scheduling. 2. All work shall be coordinated with the Plant Superintendent prior to commencing site work. 3. All parts shall be new, of current original equipment manufacturer (O.E.M.) or compatible, as detailed in the sections within this specification. 4. All equipment specified under this section shall be provided by a single manufacturer/supplier. 5. All labor to perform site repairs shall be by qualified factory trained personnel experienced in the disassembly/reassembly of the Alfa Laval AS-H Belt Press G3 200 (Klampress® Extended), 2.0 Meter unit. 6. All labor to re-commission the rebuilt Alfa Laval AS-H Belt Press G3 200 (Klampress® Extended), 2.0 Meter unit shall be by qualified factory trained personnel with at least 8 years of experience in the mechanical, electrical and process operation of the Alfa Laval AS-H Belt Press G3 200 (Klampress® Extended), 2.0 Meter unit.
