Project: RFP for Prefabricated Steel Bollard Panels Ref. #: 303-2-02345 Type: RFP Status: Open Open Date: Jul 1st 2022, 4:30 PM CDT Questions Due Date: Jul 5th 2022, 11:30 PM CDT Contact Information: Rico Gamino, rico.gamino@tfc.texas.gov Close Date: Jul 8th 2022, 3:00 PM CDT Days Left: < 1 Project Description:1) SCOPE: Pursuant to Texas Government Code Section 2165.001, Custodianship of State Property, Section 2155.137, Emergency Purchases, and Section 2156.121, Use of Competitive Sealed Proposals, the Texas Facilities Commission is requesting proposals for the provision of prefabricated steel bollard panels for use on the Texas Border Infrastructure (TBI). 2) BACKGROUND: In January 2021, the federal government halted new construction of the southern U.S. border wall. Steel fabricators and contractors have a surplus stock of prefabricated border wall panels. TFC is seeking to purchase these surplus steel bollard panels.
3) STATEMENT OF WORK: This solicitation is only for existing prefabricated panels. This solicitation is not for new construction or fabrication of new steel bollard panels. Proposals should include costs for storage of panels for up to eighteen months, and delivery to construction site along Texas-Mexico southern border in accordance with this solicitation and all attachments. An inspection shall be done by TFC or designee prior to issuance of purchase order to verify quality of materials and quantity prior to issuance of purchase order. Delivery times and off-loading logistics shall be coordinated with TFC's Design-Build firm managing subject TBI project. Storage and handling of steel bollard panels shall maintain integrity of product and shall not cause any damage or accelerated deterioration of product.
