ADLC Courthouse Parking Lot Improvements

GENERAL Notice is hereby given that the Anaconda-Deer Lodge County (ADLC) is requesting separate sealed bids for construction of ADLC Courthouse Parking Lot Improvements . Bids will be received by ADLC at the Issuing Office, which is defined as the Chief Executive’s Office, in the County Courthouse, 800 Main Street, Anaconda, MT 59711 until 2 p.m. local time, Friday, January 20, 2023. Reading of the bids will take place at 2:15 in the 1 st Floor Conference Room of the Anaconda Local Development Corporation at 118 East 7th Street, Anaconda MT 59711. The project involves reconstruction of the courthouse parking lot located on the south side of the courthouse building. In general, the project consists of approximately, but is not limited to the following: 1,160 CY of street excavation; 735 CY of crushed base course; 3,450 SY of asphalt surfacing 3-inch depth; 283 LF of standard curb and gutter; 70 SF of sidewalk; and 292 LF 12-inch corrugated HDPE storm drain including 2 manholes and 2

inlet catch basins. Complete bidding documents for this project are available in electronic form. Bidding Documents may be viewed and ordered online by registering with www.aeplans.com . Following registration, complete sets of Bidding Documents may be downloaded as “zipped” portable document format (PDF) files by selecting the public project, ADLC COURTHOUSE PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENTS . Printed copies of the bid documents are not available from the Engineer or the Owner. Bid documents may be viewed online and downloaded without charge and without deposit from www.aeplans.com and are available to your local plan rooms and reprographers. Printed copies may be ordered from reprographic companies through the website or by contacting a reprographer directly. The cost of printed Bidding Documents through www.aeplans.com will depend on the number of the Drawings and Specifications ordered, applicable taxes, and shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. Cost of Bidding Documents and shipping is non-refundable. No hard copies will be sent. Addenda to the project will be posted on the website and registered plan holders will be provided e-mail notification of addenda when posted. Bidders must register through the web site to be notified of addenda. The Bidder is responsible for periodically checking the site. The Contractor that is awarded the project will be responsible for printing all documents necessary for performing the work. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held in the 1 st Floor Conference Room of the Anaconda Local Development Corporation, 118 East 7th Street, Anaconda MT 59711 on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Interested Contractors are required to attend the pre-bid conference. Contractor and any of the Contractor’s Subcontractors doing work on this project will be required to obtain registration with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). Forms for registration are available from the Department of Labor and Industry, P.O. Box 8011, 1805 Prospect, Helena, Montana 59604-8011. Information on registration can be obtained by calling (406)-444-7734. Contractors are required to have registered with the DLI prior to bidding on this project. All laborers and mechanics employed by Contractor or Subcontractors in performance of the construction work shall be paid wages in accordance with the Montana Prevailing Wage Rates. There is no Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) or “Buy American” requirement. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Bid security must be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Each Bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond payable to ADLC, in an amount not less than Ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid. Successful Bidders shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful Bidder(s) and a Certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for the receipt of bids noted above. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the Owner.
